How It Works
Anytime you check out at City Market, you can choose to round up your total to the nearest dollar. Each month, we support Feeding Chittenden and other organizations working to strengthen our community. With roughly 4,000 transactions each day across both stores, we all have the opportunity to rally for community-wide change.

Vermont Youth Conservation Corp
Vermont Youth Conservation Corps has been cultivating leaders since 1985. Programs offer paid, outdoor service experiences for people ages 15 and up. Corps Members build skills in conservation, agriculture and leadership while improving the health of Vermont’s water, forests, working lands and outdoor recreation infrastructure. VYCC is a nonprofit organization with a mission to take action and build community by working and learning together with the land.
Homeshare Vermont
HomeShare Vermont has been matching people who have room in their home with those seeking an affordable place to live for the past 42 years. They conduct background and reference checks and then help create compatible matches. Their hosts can ask for rent and utilities and/or help with household tasks, such as cooking, yardwork, housekeeping, snow removal, pet care or running errands. For guests, this is an affordable option to renting.
