The Department of Public Safety has made an arrest in connection with a road rage shooting along the Loop 101 on Saturday.

Christopher Hoffman, 36, reportedly admitted to his involvement with the shooting that occurred Saturday morning near Bell Road.

DPS says witnesses and vigilant citizens led them to locate Hoffman.

He has been booked into jail for drive-by shooting, aggravated assault, discharging a firearm in city limits and possession of a dangerous drug.

DPS said Saturday in a media conference that the shooting does not appear to be related to the ongoing freeway shootings investigation.
