SSHRC’s Partnership Engage Grants now open for applications!

The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) has announced the launch of the Partnership Engage Grants, designed to address the short-term needs, challenges and opportunities of researchers and institutions.

These grants are meant for a researcher and a single partner organization from the not-for-profit, public or private sector, and put a strong emphasis on the relevance to, and involvement of, partner organizations. With a streamlined application process and four competition rounds every year, they offer a quicker adjudication period and lighter administrative requirements. They have a value of between $7,000 and $25,000.

“The new Partnership Engage Grants clearly demonstrate SSHRC’s continuing resolve to adapt to the needs of Canada’s research community. We look forward to the innovative ideas and tangible outcomes that collaboration with new partner organizations will produce,” said Ted Hewitt, SSHRC president.

This new funding opportunity supports SSHRC’s commitment to excellence and its constant drive to enable research that informs public debate and leads to real impacts in the lives of Canadians.

The deadline to submit applications for the inaugural competition is September 15, 2017. Successful applicants will be notified in December 2017.
