Full time or part time Private Client Solicitor / Legal Executive with 8+ years’ PQE

GoodyBurrett is a well-established law firm in Colchester town centre. We were awarded the Indie Service Business of the Year 2023 at the Colchester Business Awards.

We have an opportunity for a Private Client Solicitor or qualified Legal Executive to join our team.  The successful candidate will take on an existing caseload.

This is a permanent role predominantly based in the office with hybrid working negotiable. 

Features:

  • Leading and managing the Wills Trust and Probate Team
  • Involves Wills, Probate, Trusts, Court of Protection and LPA’s
  • Dealing with enquiries, speaking with clients and other parties
  • Providing legal advice to clients
  • Identifying and developing potential client relationships
  • Long term career prospects
  • Networking and input to marketing for the department

 

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience of Wills, Probate and LPA’s
  • Desirable to have experience in dealing with Court of Protection work
  • Must be able to handle own caseload of clients with some supervision
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all clients
  • Possess good organisational skills
  • Have excellent time management skills
  • Desire to develop and expand client base
  • IT knowledge and interest
  • Good standard of written and spoken English
  • Self-motivated

Family Solicitor or qualified Legal Executive – 5 years + PQE

GoodyBurrett is a well-established law firm in Colchester town centre. We were awarded the Indie Service Business of the Year 2023 at the Colchester Business Awards.

We have an opportunity for a full time or part-time Family Solicitor or qualified Legal Executive to join our team.  The ideal candidate will ideally possess a minimum of 5 years PQE to join and develop our busy family department.  We would also be interested in hearing from candidates of a more senior level.

Features:

  • Involves private family work, predominantly matrimonial
  • Dealing with enquiries, speaking with clients and other parties
  • Providing legal advice to clients on divorce, financial agreements, separation agreements and Children Act proceedings
  • Identifying and developing potential client relationships
  • Developing and expanding the Family department
  • Career progression/long term prospects

 

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience of Family Law
  • Must be able to handle own caseload of clients with minimal supervision.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all clients
  • Possess good organisational skills
  • Have excellent time management skills
  • Willingness to carry out own advocacy is an advantage but not a requirement
  • Desire to develop and expand client base
  • IT knowledge and interest
  • Good standard of written and spoken English
  • Self-motivated
