According to his lawyer, Palestinian activist Muhammad Allan has resumed his hunger strike after he was arrested on Wednesday upon being discharged from Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon, AFP reports.

"He is currently on hunger strike," lawyer Jamil al-Khatib told AFP.

After slipping into a coma on two separate occasions, Allan ended his 66-day hunger strike earlier this month when Israel promised to suspend his administrative detention.

Allan had been held without trial or charge under administrative detention since November 2014.
