Tech Five: Microsoft to unveil new phone in October

Microsoft is reportedly planning a big event in New York next month, where it will likely reveal several new devices running its Windows 10 operating system. Let's take a look at tech stocks to watch Tuesday.

Microsoft will welcome tens of thousands of resellers to its Worldwide Partner Meeting in Orlando July 12-16.

Microsoft. According to The Verge, the tech titan will host an event October 6, and it's widely expected they will reveal a new Surface Pro tablet as well as a fresh Lumia smartphone. Microsoft may also unveil an updated version of its Microsoft Band, the company's wearable device.

Zynga. The social games maker announced it has acquired Rising Tide Games, which specializes in casino apps. The company was launched last year by former Zynga executives. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Facebook. The social network is testing an app that can capture 360-degree videos, reports The Wall Street Journal. The app would allow users to change viewing angles by tilting their phones. The report says the app is in its early stages, and designed to work with iOS and Android smartphones.

Oracle. The software giant reports first quarter earnings after the markets close Wednesday. Analysts project revenue of $8.53 billion with earnings of 52 cents a share.

Adobe. Oracle isn't the only software giant with earnings results approaching. Adobe reports its third quarter results on Thursday. They're forecast to report earnings of 50 cents a share off revenue of $1.21 billion.
