Call for Proposals - Deadline Extended

Good news! APA has extended the APA 2022 division proposal deadline to Monday, January 10.

APA has also recently received questions about whether division speakers can present remotely at the in-person event. APA is currently planning for an in-person meeting in Minneapolis but will consider division proposals that have at least 75% of the speakers planning to attend in person. Due to space and technology limitations, they may not be able to accommodate all sessions with virtual presenters.

If you are submitting a session that includes some virtual speakers, please note which speaker(s) would be virtual. If APA is unable to accommodate your session’s request, you would be given the opportunity to replace the virtual speaker(s) or withdraw your proposal. Please note that APA cannot include virtual presenters in CE Workshops.

Types of Proposals

Division Programs. The APA divisions (including SPSSI, or Division 9) accept programs and poster presentations that cover a variety of topics.

Continuing Education Workshops. 4- and 7- hour CE workshops are offered on a full range of topics across the discipline and profession of psychology. An emphasis is placed on interactive workshops that actively engage participants in a variety of learning modes and all presenters must attend in person.

Psych Science in 3. Psych Science in 3 (PS-in-3) invites graduate students and recently matriculated psychologists to share their research in three short minutes. Educate us—but make it quick!

All submissions must be completed online by Monday, January 10, 2022, at 5 pm ET.
