Fairfax and Falls Church Free Summer Child Care: Program Opens June 1

Formed Families Forward announces a new summer child care program for Fairfax and Falls Church families who have low and moderate incomes and are impacted by COVID. Families raising children and youth with emotional and behavioral health needs can receive free child care for 15 hours a week for 10 weeks of summer break, June 12 through August 20.

Families must identify their own child care providers, who will be background checked and paid by FFF as independent contractors at a rate of $20/hour. Families who have already used our Kinship Respite and Fairfax Recharge programs in 2020-21 are not eligible for this summer program.

Applications open at 9 AM on Tuesday, June 1. A limited number of families will be served so families are encouraged to carefully read the program information HERE, and be ready with all necessary information when then apply.

Fairfax Summer Recharge is a program of FFF, offered with the support of Healthy Minds Fairfax, Fairfax County.
