Creating Something Awesome

I don’t want a boring life. I’ve had a few significant life events, and the main lesson I’ve learned is to make the most out of every day.  So when it comes to work, I want to create something awesome!

So you may ask, why start a school furniture company?

I’ve sort of fallen into the furniture industry, specifically to the education sector. It is not a glamourous industry and it’s definitely not the most profitable.  However, my team has a driving cause – to create something awesome!  We all know we can spend the limited days of our life doing other things, but we all genuinely want to be here – building and growing Kay-Twelve.com. And we’ve managed to do that in two different ways.

First, by surrounding ourselves with fun, energetic people who share the same passion to do something awesome in their lives. The individuals here want to do great things, not just go through the motions in life.

The second way is by focusing on the bigger picture. Every building needs furniture. However, I wanted my furniture to count. This is why we focus on learning environments. We may not have picked the traditional professions that influence students and the future leaders of our country, but we can help provide better tools to improve learning outcomes. It is a great feeling to know our furniture can help make this world a smarter and better place.

What’s boring about that?  Nothing! In fact, it’s pretty awesome!

Good stuff Kevin. Keep driving towards your goals. We do have the choice of going through the motions of life or we can set out to make and shape the world with impact.

Someone has been working on his Vision Statement! I can feel your energy and it is inspiring! We are given a set of gifts and get to make choices on how to spend them or invest them every day. Even the most common elements in our world offer the possibility of something new and unseen. Good for you for capturing the essence of Kay-Twelve and sharing it! Great post :)
