The Wedge—Portland's annual tribute to all things cheese—is back! On October 3, over 17 cheesemakers will gather at the Green Dragon for a farmers market–style cheese festival showcasing dozens of cheese varieties, specialty foods, and family-friendly activities like cheese wheel bowling (yes, really).

Participating cheesemakers and artisans:

  • Ancient Heritage
  • Briar Rose Creamery
  • Cascadia Creamery
  • Crushpad Creamery
  • Cypress Grove
  • Face Rock Creamery
  • Goldin Artisan Goat Cheese
  • La Mariposa
  • Ochoa’s Queseria/Don Froylan
  • OSU Creamery
  • Portland Creamery
  • Rivers Edge Chèvre
  • Rogue Creamery
  • Skamokawa Farmstead Creamery
  • Tillamook County Creamery Association
  • WellMont Farms Cheesorizo
  • Willamette Valley Cheese Company

Wines will be provided by Oregon's own Apolloni Winery, Brooks Winery, Elk Cove Winery, Montinore Estate, and Willamette Valley Vineyards, and there will be plenty of other sips available, from Health-Ade Komucha and Rogue Ales to Wandering Aengus Ciderworks.

Proceeds from the Wedge will go to the Oregon Cheese Guild, which is dedicated to the art and craft of making cheese. The Guild is a collaborative effort to increase awareness of Oregon’s artisanal cheeses, create educational opportunities, and provide a platform for cooperation and shared resources among Oregon cheesemakers.

Sit down for one of the $10 seminars from local cheese experts, discussing topics like Unusual Cheese Pairings from New Seasons Market, How to Pair Cider with Cheese, and a Tasting Tour of Oregon Beer & Cheese with Steve Jones of Cheese Bar.
