No. 17 Tar Heels Host No. 25 Virginia Saturday

CHAPEL HILL --- No. 17 North Carolina will kick off its ACC competition at Carmichael Arena Saturday at 6:30 p.m. when the Tar Heels host No. 25 Virginia. Fans can stream the dual live on ACC Network Extra online or through the ESPN app.
 
Carolina enters Saturday's dual with three wrestlers ranked in Intermat's weekly class rankings – No. 4 Austin O'Connor at 149 pounds, No. 14 Kennedy Monday at 165 and No. 14 Chip Ness at 184. 
 
UNC (7-5) returns to the mat after falling at Princeton 23-16 on Jan. 11. On the season, he Tar Heels have topped three top-25 opponents: No. 8 Arizona State, No. 20 Lehigh and No. 21 North Dakota State.
 
Virginia (11-6) comes into Saturday's dual after two wins last weekend over VMI and Ohio. The Cavaliers have also knocked off three top-25 opponents this season: No. 22 Utah Valley, No. 20 Lock Haven and No. 16 Arizona State. Ranked in the Intermat rankings are Jack Mueller (No. 5, 125) and Jay Aiello (No. 8, 197).
 
Saturday's match at Carmichael Arena is free for spectators. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
