Westminster College’s Celebrity Series welcomes the legendary Lennon Sisters to the Orr Auditorium stage at 7:30 p.m., October 10.

In 1955, four young girls, who would soon be known as the Lennon Sisters, walked on to a stage in Hollywood, California and began their musical journey. Among many other accomplishments, the Lennon Sisters appeared on The Lawrence Welk TV Show, performed for seven Presidents, shared center stage with nearly every major star in Hollywood, and were welcomed into millions of American homes every Saturday evening. The girls were awarded their own Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and they were inducted into the National Vocal Group Hall of Fame.

“They will bring their gift of music to Westminster in a performance filled with their unmistakable harmonies, video highlights of their career, and stories that will surely bring back warm memories and laughs,” said Connie McGinnis, director of the Celebrity Series at Westminster. “Their show shares the glamour, style and unique family blend that propelled them to fame with millions of fans. There instant stardom has lasted over 55 years. The Lennon Sisters are an American Legend.”
