SPOTLIGHT ON: GAS OPERATIVE & ELECTRICAL APPRENTICESHIPS

For employers working in the gas operations and electrical sectors, safety is paramount. Staff must be kept up to date on developments in the field and safety regulations to keep themselves, and their customers, safe and healthy.

At our sister company Hart Learning & Development, employers can enrol new and/or existing staff onto our Installations Electrician and Gas Engineering Operative apprenticeships to develop their skills and support them as they work towards qualified status within the industry. Apprentices gain access to modern workshop facilities under the guidance of fully qualified Tutors with a combined 20 years of domestic experience. Apprentices will complete mock End Point Assessments throughout the programme to support first-time achievement along with frequent one-to-one support as well as Additional Learning Support if required.

Gas Engineering Apprentices will complete their programme as fully qualified and gas safe individuals, feeling confident in their abilities to install and maintain a variety of appliances in an efficient, economical, and safe manner without immediate supervision. In addition, Hart Learning & Development’s Gas Operative apprenticeship includes ACS (CCN1 route), and apprentices will be eligible for gas safe registration on completion.

Electrical Installation and Maintenance Apprentices will complete their programme as fully qualified electricians, having completed the 18th edition, and be confident working in commercial, domestic and industrial environments. Apprentices will be ready for progressing to Testing and Inspection specialised courses as well as Electric Vehicle top up courses in line with any employer requirements.

HART LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT AWARDED SKILLS FOR HEALTH QUALITY MARK

We’re proud to share that Hart Learning & Development were recently awarded the Health Skills Quality Mark. This standard recognises outstanding health care training and defines and endorses superior delivery of learning and training in healthcare.

An extract from the report said: “Tutors, employers, and learners all reported that as a result of the training they received, learner confidence, job-satisfaction, self-esteem, and career / further education opportunities had improved.”

If your organisation is interested in apprenticeships in the healthcare sector, please get in touch.

GIVE A FUTURE

As the academic year comes to a close, North Hertfordshire College’s work experience teams are planning opportunities for our students in September.

You could make a difference to young people’s prospects by passing on your knowledge and inspiring them with your passion and enthusiasm. North Hertfordshire College is asking for employers who can spare some time to offer support, advice, work experience, or even a presentation to help provide the spark that starts a student on the path to a successful and rewarding career.
