THUNDER BAY -- The corner of Golf Links Road and the Harbour Expressway is again the worst for reported collisions.

The Thunder Bay Police Service released its second-quarter traffic statistics Friday, showing that the Golf Links intersection had reportedly hosted nine collisions. The corner of Central and Memorial Avenue shares the infamous top spot, as it too reported nine crashes between Jan 1 and June 30.

The first-quarter traffic report showed Golf Links and Harbour featured four crashes from Jan. 1 to March 31, with seven other intersections reporting as much as or more crashes than that.

But the updated traffic statistics shows a more consistent pattern for the Golf Links, Harbour intersection.

In 2014 that intersection was declared the city’s worst for collisions, having recorded a total of 23 incidents, which was four more than the second worst Central at Memorial.
