After a record-setting year that took college basketball to new heights, we celebrated the 2024 John R. Wooden Award winners: Caitlin Clark of the University of Iowa, Zach Edey with Purdue University, and the 2024 All-Americans. As presenting sponsor of the Wooden Award, Principal® was there for every pass, rebound, and free-throw, celebrating expertise, dedication, and teamwork along the way. Congratulations to all the student-athletes and to Legends of Coaching winner John Calipari. You’ve created countless memories for all of us and inspired the next generation to dream even bigger.   A few highlights from the 48th annual Wooden Award events: 🏀 Dan Houston, our president, chairman, and CEO, celebrated the character, grace, and resilience of the athletes, as well as the support of coaches and families. 🏀 Beth Wood Leidt, our executive vice president and chief marketing officer, encouraged Wooden finalists to surround themselves with experts as they take their next big steps. 🏀 Deanna Strable-Soethout, executive vice president and CFO, Dan, and Beth joined Wooden Award All-Americans and winners to volunteer with the Special Olympics of Southern California. 🏀 We celebrated each of the outstanding finalists for the awards. For the women: Cameron Brink, Paige Bueckers, Caitlin Clark, Hannah Hidalgo, and JuJu Watkins. For the men: RJ Davis, Zach Edey, Dalton Knecht, Tristen Newton, and Jamal Shead. It’s been wonderful to cheer for all these talented athletes and coaches—and to support the values of excellence and equality embodied by the Wooden Award. Looking forward to continuing the excitement next year!
