Michael Jackson would have turned 57 years old on Saturday, Aug. 29, and fans, family, and friends remembered the late pop star with messages and photos throughout the day, honoring Jackson for his contribution to the music industry.

His siblings Jermaine and La Toya Jackson both posted notes about their brother.

And the Facebook account for The Jacksons shared photo of the King of Pop, remembering him as a young star.

Jackson, who died in June 2009 of acute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication at his home in Los Angeles, garnered a global outpouring of love and affection after his death. While mourning their brother, sisters Janet, La Toya and Rebbie Jackson thanked fans for attending his funeral. “Michael will forever live in my heart,” Janet told the crowd.
