Thermaltake CaseMOD Invitational Season 2 Begins

Posted on August 29, 2015

Thermaltake is a prominent case and peripheral brand. This year, they’re holding what they call “the international modding event of the year.” The “2015 Thermaltake Case MOD Invitational Season 2” may not have the most catchy name, but it is a competition for the world’s top case modders from the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Australia, Russia, Thailand, and the Philippines to transform the Thermaltake Core X9 case with Thermaltake liquid cooling equipment.

This competition isn’t about the boring type of modding, though, like the superglued parts of my case. Instead, it’s more focused on impressive and artistic modding. Last year’s winner created the the “Core X2 Furious,” which was a tribute to the Fast and Furious movies.

Thermaltake is allowing the community to have a vote in which case modder wins. By registering at Thermaltake’s community platform, users can vote for one of the cases by the modders. The score percentage that the community receives is 35%, with Newegg allotted 10% and Thermaltake 55% – just enough that Thermaltake can outvote anyone else. By voting, you can enter to win the Thermaltake Riing Patented LED Radiator Fan. Based off photos alone, I must say I think it would be hard to not vote for the Russian case modder.

Beginning September 1st, voters can register and vote for their favorite case mod.

For those interested in case mods, I would suggest checking it out, as the case mods should be pretty interesting.
