All of our medical billing staff members are Certified Professional Coders (CPC) as designated by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) or are supervised by a CPC. Our company training policy mandates that all billing staff must pursue completion of their CPC in order to manage a client account. USMEDX believes in employing reliable, intelligent, and trustworthy individuals here at home, committing to a company policy that prohibits the outsourcing of any of our clients’ claims processing or insurance follow-up.
Our fee for medical billing and coding services is contracted as a percentage of gross receipts, meaning that our company benefits by managing our client’s accounts to produce optimal reimbursements for medical services rendered. We maximize our client’s revenue stream from medical billing by ongoing medical billing and coding education, an acute attention to detail, routine feedback to our clients regarding compliance requirements, and a continual focus on charge capture.
USMEDX maintains Errors & Omissions Insurance to ensure the safety of our clients in the unlikely event an error occurs due to lack of information. We also maintain a strict internal Compliance Plan and HIPAA/HITECH Security Plan to ensure that all protected health information (PHI) remains confidential.

Clearinghouse services through Practice Insight, LLC:
In addition to providing medical billing and coding services, USMEDX also provides clearinghouse services as a value-added reseller with Practice Insight, LLC. While there is a cost benefit to a client’s utilizing both medical billing services and clearinghouse services offered by USMEDX, we do not require that a client contract for medical billing services through USMEDX in order to subscribe to our clearinghouse services.
