Morning ladies today I want to talk about one of my favourite items of clothing - blazers. I definitely have a HUGE weakness for a jacket or two as my husband can vouch for! For me jackets make an outfit & also act a bit like a security blanket - I don't know why but I always feel dressed & 'put together' when I'm wearing one. Plus they're a great way of adding a little personality to your look & ideal for teaming with wardrobe classics. Whether that be a timeless blazer that can so easily be dressed up or down, or a military jacket teamed with heels & jeans for a night out. Not forgetting the Chanel inspired boucle/tweed jackets that will always look stylish & of course a leather biker for making a simple jeans & tee combo look pulled together & giving it a little edge.
Naturally at this time of year I'm in my element as the weather is perfect for adding a jacket. In fact my love for a blazer/biker is so strong that I'll layer thermals & scarves come the colder months just so I can still wear them!
For me the key 3 styles that everyone should own are a blazer, a biker jacket & a boucle/tweed jacket. Then if you want to grow your collection think of adding a military jacket & a statement jacket to your wardrobe, together with a tuxedo jacket. Also consider different colours & textures as these are great for styling with a simple pair of cigarette pants/jeans, not to mention a maxi skirt or dress.
