The new school term is
right around the corner and the solicitors in the Family Team at Cripps are
often asked by their clients questions about contact arrangements and
schooling. We thought it would be helpful to address some common concerns of
separated parents at this time. Each day this week we will be posting answers
to a different FAQ.
Here’s today’s question:
What
if my ex refuses to provide me with school information concerning our child?
Where both parents have parental responsibility, as is
usually the case, either parent is entitled to obtain information from the
school directly about school reports, calendars and details regarding school
trips. Most schools these days prefer to contact parents by email and are quite
happy to put both parents on their email list.
