Sure, you recognize Hank Phillippi Ryan as a television investigative reporter, and maybe you even know that she has won 33 EMMYs, 13 Edward R. Murrow awards, and countless other honors. But were you aware that she’s also a bestselling author of seven mystery novels who has won multiple awards for her crime fiction, including five Agathas and the coveted Mary Higgins Clark Award? Her latest, Truth Be Told, won an Agatha Award for Best Contemporary Novel and is a Library Journal Best Book of 2014. Come see this local TV celebrity, who is also a founding teacher at Mystery Writers of America University and a past president of the national Sisters in Crime, which promotes the professional development and advancement of women crime writers to achieve quality in the industry. It’ll be great to hear her talk about her book, of which Library Journal raved, “Drop everything and binge read!”
