Style Tips on choosing the perfect outfit for your pregnancy Photo-shoot
Going in for a maternity photo-shoot and yet worried what to wear? This is the most common concern of every pregnant lady when it comes to maternity shoots, picking up a decent outfit that shall enhance your curves and look good in pictures can become a task, but not any more! (Been there and done that 😛 ) Here are few outfit tips on what to wear for your maternity photo-shoot.
Fitted Gowns – Stretchy Maternity Outfits
Fitted clothes are your best friend now than ever. Since you are going for a pregnancy photo shoot, you would obviously want to flaunt your baby bump and capture these memories for lifetime. Nothing beats a fitted jersey gown that enhances your curves perfectly outlining that cute bump of yours!

Solid Colors – Colour blocked Maternity Outfits
Enhance your baby bump with Solid single colours that are contrasting to your background. If you are shooting in a natural environment like a lake or park keep the color basic like grey, blue Black or White. These colors tend to stand out in the greens & yellow of your natural backdrop. When shooting indoors choose the colour that is contrasting to your backdrop or wall and stick to a single colour. Here I have used a solid white colour for both my indoor and outdoor shoot and a solid blue colour for a natural setting in park.

Nautical Stripes – Chevron Maternity Outfits
Stripes are the next best bet after Solids. Keeping your outfit as clutter free as possible and focusing on your curvy baby bump is the main aim. Horizontal stripes will provide both these with an advantage to make you look taller. Make sure you are not going for vertical stripes as they can completely ruin your look. Opt for chevron print instead. Monochrome stripes are your best bet.

Florals – Flower Power Maternity Outfits
Beautiful floral and Pastel outfits go really well with an outdoor shoot specially in a greenery backdrop. The vibrant colors and floral prints look great in pictures especially if it is a flowy gown. Pastel colors with light floral prints will make you look like a princess in wilderness. Add a beautiful floral tiara to it and you will get your very own fantasy land photo shoot!

Single Statement accessories like a lovely neck-piece, a contrasting head gear or a floral crown look great for the photo shoot. I have donned a beautiful peterpan collar neck piece for my off-shoulder gown. Go minimalist on the make-up as well and let your natural pregnancy charm show.

Colour Co-ord with your Partner
When shooting with your partner, you must pick outfits for not only yourself but for him as well. Colour co-ordination is the trick to a beautiful photo shoot. Make sure to co-ordinate your partners outfit with yours by using contrasting shades or different shades of same colour. We have used a Blue with lemon yellow for a natural setting and a standard monochrome black & white for indoors.
