German Auto Service opens new showroom in Cairo

The German Auto Service Company (GAS), which for 30 years has been the strategic partner for Mercedes-Benz Egypt, opened a new, technologically advanced first-hand showroom in Cairo.

The new showroom comes in a distinct architectural and technological design, known as “MAR2020”, and is a one of its kind showroom. It displays the latest technology in architecture and presentation techniques, stimulating a real life experience through smart screens and speakers to exemplify the company’s experience with its customers.  

A number of senior government and auto industry officials took part in the opening ceremony, in addition to a group of prominent businessmen in the field of vehicle manufacturing and assembly.

The event was also attended by famous public figures, as well as media representatives and professionals.

The showroom is located in the Sheraton-Heliopolis area of Cairo, and offers unprecedented services as well as a flagship retail experience. Customers can make use of advanced consultation methods that provide them with assistance while selecting the car that suits them and meets their needs.

Emad Waheed, Managing Director of GAS, expressed his pleasure at the opening, which came as the culmination of an extended partnership with Mercedes-Benz International.

“We appreciate Mercedes-Benz Egypt’s efforts in supporting its partners in the Egyptian market,” he said, “Since GAS earned this new experience in the region along with a number of Mercedes-Benz partners, we hold a commitment towards our clients to exert our utmost efforts to preserve the value of this brand.”

Waheed added, “We hold a shared responsibility for walking through the path of success together, in the coming years, in the hope of improving the customer’s experience by offering the best services since they are on top of our priorities.”

He said that, since the beginning of the company’s journey in the Egyptian market, GAS adopted a precise strategy that prioritises addressing the domestic market needs.

“We succeeded in providing excellent services to our customers, and as an extension to our achievements, in 2019, we extended our cooperation with our main partner, Mercedes-Benz, to offer sales services in addition to the after-sales services,” Waheed said.

He noted that GAS’ partnership with Mercedes-Benz started in 1986 with the establishment of one of the largest after-sales service centres for Mercedes-Benz vehicles in Egypt. From the beginning, the company had a clear vision and objective, which revolved around providing products and services for Mercedes-Benz cars in a market that relentlessly undergoes rapid developments.

“Our determination to adhere to this target has contributed to acquiring the trust of customers in Egypt, which has given us the impetus to provide sales and after-sales services,” Waheed said.

Thomas Zorn, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Egypt, congratulated the GAS team on the opening of their first Mercedes-Benz MAR2020 showroom.

Zorn said, “GAS has always been a very strong and important authorised service partner, who has proven efficiency and ability to provide one of the best after-sales services throughout the years of our partnership.”

He added that, as a result of the cooperation, the extended new offering of sales services came as no surprise. It instead reflects the success achieved throughout more than 30 years of fruitful cooperation.
