Beer and rugby go hand in hand and The Natwest Six Nations, which kicks off on Saturday, February 3, is the highlight of the rugby calendar - so where better to watch the rugger than down the pub?

To help you plan your beer-fuelled day of rugby we have chosen our eight favourite pubs (in no particular order) to watch the Six Nations.

Where to watch the 6 Nations in Bath

1. THE PIG & FIDDLE

A favourite for sport fans, The Pig & Fiddle on Saracen Street, is a proper rugby pub with sporting memorabilia and jerseys all over the walls. Get in early as it's always heaving - if the pub is a tad overcrowded for your liking, head outside to their beer garden where there will be an outdoor screen showing the matches.

2. THE CANON

This central pub , spaced over 2 floors, will be showing all the matches on the 'biggest screens in Bath', according to the team at The Canon . If you download the Matchpint app on your phone, you can get 2-for-1 on pints of Guinness.

They do some great meal deals too, such as lunch and a pint for £7.45.

3. THE CORK

The Cork, on James Street West, has always been a popular place to watch sporting action. It will be showing all the rugby matches on its large projector screen upstairs. Food will also be served.

4. FLAN O'BRIENS

Flan's is the place to to cheer on the men in green and enjoy a pint or two (or three or four or ...) of Guinness. Great atmosphere guaranteed.

5. SARACENS HEAD

Opened in 1713, Saracens Head is Bath's oldest pub and boasts 10 screens and 3 Sky boxes.

6. THE BOATER

Located next to Pulteney Bridge, The Boater is the pub with a huge beer garden and spectacular river views. They will be showing all the matches on their screens.

7. THE TRINITY

A great pub to watch sports in a relaxed atmosphere, the pub will be showing all the games on a big screen and serves great ales too.

8. BATH BREW HOUSE

The Bath Brew House will be going all out for the Six Nations, with extra bars, a heated marquee with a BBQ selling hots dogs and burgers and matches will be shown on projectors.

If you want to be inside, it's best to reserve a table beforehand for £10.
