SARATOGA SPRINGS >> City police have arrested a 24-year-old man for alleged possession of child pornography.
Saratoga Springs Police Lt. Bob Jillson said in a news release that Josue L. Diaz of Saratoga Springs was arrested Tuesday following the execution of a search warrant at 128 Grand Avenue, Apt. 1A. He was charged with possessing a sexual performance by a child and promoting a sexual performance by a child, both felonies.
Police said the warrant was executed by members of the Saratoga Springs Police Department in conjunction with the Albany-based FBI Child Exploitation Task Force and the New York State Police Computers Crime Unit.
Based upon the investigation leading up to the search warrant, and the results of the search warrant itself, Diaz was arrested, police said. He allegedly possessed and disseminated child pornography on June 21, 2015.
Diaz was arraigned and remanded to Saratoga County Jail on $20,000 cash bail.
Additional charges are possible and the investigation is continuing, police said.
