Do not forget your three P’s: Pets, Plants, and Pipes! Wrap exposed faucets and pipes, including those outside the house or in unheated crawl spaces, attics, garages, and other areas. If you do not have the foam pipe coverings, a towel rag and/or duct tape will do the trick.

Do not forget your backflow devices on your irrigation systems.

Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to email us at support@quadvest.com or call us at 281-356-5347.

As always, we appreciate the opportunity to serve you and your family and thank you for your business. Stay WARM!

With the colder temperatures ahead in the coming days we wanted to take this time to advise our customers of a few helpful tips for preparing.

Team Organizer from Quadvest · 11 Jan

Please take precautions so your outdoor faucets do not freeze in the winter.
• Detach your garden hoses before the onset of freezing temperatures.
•Then close the shut-off valves on the pipe(s) which lead to your outdoor faucets, if available.
•Finally, open the outdoor faucets so that any residual water is allowed to drain if you have shut off valves.

Indoor faucets may freeze in frigid weather:
•Try leaving the cabinet doors under the faucets open so that they can receive more heat.
•In extreme cases, such as multiple days of below-freezing temperatures, allow hot and cold water to trickle at a slow rate into the sinks. If the water volume is too high, you risk overflowing the sink.
•Insulate all water pipes which may be exposed to freezing temperatures or wind. Water pipes not in use should be drained in areas where they may be vulnerable to severely cold weather.
•If there is plumbing in your garage, keep the garage door closed. Pipes in unheated garages, attics, or basements should be insulated.

If your pipes do freeze:
•Turn off the water at the main shut-off valve to minimize problems as the ice melts.
•Leave the faucets on to relieve pressure when the ice begins to melt.

As always, we appreciate the opportunity to serve you and your family and thank you for your business. Stay WARM!

BRIDLEWOOD ESTATES FLUSHING (01.

Team Organizer from Quadvest · 3 Jan

03.24):
Our operators will be flushing Bridlewood Estates subdivision on Thursday, January 4th.

-When a flush valve or fire hydrant is opened there may be temporary incidences of discolored water while fine sediment particles are flushed out. Allow a few hours for discoloration to dissipate.
-After waiting, check the clarity by running your cold water for a few minutes, allowing new water to work its way into your pipes.
-This discoloration only affects the appearance of the water, it does not affect water quality.
-There is no health hazard associated with discolored water.

If a homeowner turns on a faucet, dishwasher, washing machine, or any appliance that uses water during the time while we are flushing, or before us flushing out the sediment, it is possible you may have gotten sand/sediment into your home lines. Not only will you have to flush your own home line which is best done by turning on a faucet inside the home until the water runs clear, but you will also have to clean out their filters, hot water heaters, water softeners, and aerators in their faucets and shower heads.

The discolored water you may experience during these flushing operations is temporary. If the problem continues, please call 281.356.5347.

Thank you for your patience as we perform these flushing operations. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
