Mattress Nation - Santa Cruz

Mike helped us to figure out an out-of-the-box solution for a very dead (lumpy) mattress which we had to get by on until receiving a new natural latex mattress we had ordered from another vender and which was taking 2 1/2 months to arrive. After learning we'd have to wait another month, we couldn't take it anymore.

Mike suggested that we flip our old pillow top mattress and suggested a wonderful organic cotton and natural latex (non toxic!) mattress topper, which I got to try out on a couple of different surfaces.

I got to take it home that very day - not super cheap, but he brought down the price. (It ended up being less than all the massages we had needed to remedy sore backs.) We are so grateful after our first night of blissful sleep on our new topper! Excellent customer service - he even loaded it into the car for me!

I bought a Queen sized mattress at Mattress Nation (Santa Cruz) with a five-year warranty around 2.5 years years ago and it required warranty replacement.

However, Mattress Nation no longer did business with the manufacturer and that manufacturer was not responsive to me and told me to have Mattress Nation call them.

Mike, at Mattress Nation, phoned the manufacturer many times without getting any responsible response from them. Mattress Nation was under no obligation to phone them for me, yet Mike phoned them repeatedly to help satisfy this customer.

When Mike's repeated attempts with the manufacturer failed, he offered me three alternative mattresses. When they were not agreeable to me, Mike offered me three more alternatives, including my same mattress in a Cal-King size and a discounted-cost upgrade to a Sealy Queen mattress with two times longer warranty than my current mattress under warranty. I exuberantly purchased the Sealy.

The great lengths of Mike's dedication to satisfy this customer are unheard of in the mattress business today or in any business, for that matter. I am very fortunate to have bought my mattress from Mattress Nation and receive the high quality of service from Mike. I will never buy another mattress elsewhere. Nor will I ever hesitate to recommend Mattress Nation and Mike to anyone.

I was desperate for a new mattress but didn't want to purchase without trying some out, so headed to the nearest brick 'n mortar. Mattress Nation had a great selection including a wide variety of brands and price ranges, so I was able to feel the difference between traditional mattresses, hybrids with coils and foam, foam only, and all-natural materials. Nathan, the sales associate (or store manager?) was very patient and informative -- no pressure; no attempt to upsell. I wound up selecting one of the more expensive Tempur-pedic mattresses, based solely on how it felt. But it was clear that Nathan just wants customers to be happy -- I also heard him patiently answering questions on the phone including responding to an inquiry about the least expensive mattress the store has, and he was just as patient with that potential customer as he was with me. Moreover, when the delivery guys forgot to bring the cover with my new mattress, this afternoon, Nathan went out of his way to bring it to me himself this evening, after he had closed the store at 7 pm. All 'round, a great experience. Now I'm looking forward to a great night's sleep on my new bed!

martin was so incredibly helpful with our purchase ! I am a very fidgety sleeper so I was worried about buying a new expensive mattress and being disappointed with my purchase, but Martin really did everything he could to make our purchase worth every penny! super accomodating, patient, communicative.

My husband and I had a wonderful sales experience here! My husband has been suffering from insomnia and we were overdue for a new mattress. We are new to this area. We walked in yesterday and were greeted warmly by Fareed. He took good care of us, we found the mattress we needed--and he gave us a good deal! Our mattress was just now delivered (24 hrs later) along with a new mattress cover--it's all set up and ready now! Thanks for helping us, Fareed! Do you know the difference between NOT WANTING to get out of bed and WANTING to stay in bed?? I do. I now WANT to stay in bed even when there's nothing I dread in the outside world. My bed is just THAT comfortable.

And I wouldn't have this bed if it weren't for the great service and value we got from Ryan at Mattress Nation! When you are sleeping well, your whole life gets better. Anyway, go see Ryan - he is incredibly knowledgeable about all things bedding (Did you know some people sleep on sheets made with seaweed?!).

We had an eight year old full size foam mattress from Amazon that we thought was pretty good. Our biggest complaints were that it was too small and that it retained heat overnight. Ryan fixed both of those issues for us and gave us a great deal on our new bed, base, cover and sheets. We are confident we made the right decision to upgrade based on all the information he (sincerely) shared with us. He took the time to answer ALL of our questions in detail and there were a lot of them (when you're making a big investment, you ask a LOT of questions). We went with a Tempurpedic and we'll never look back.

If you're going to spend a nice chunk of change on a mattress, don't you want to know that you're doing business with good people? Did I mention, I love my new bed?

Absolutely outstanding experience. I could not be happier with our California King mattress.

The owner helped us pick out a fantastic mattress and brought the price way down, into our budget. (We waited 3 weeks for Macy's to deliver a mattress and they canceled 48 hours before the agreed deliver day) after that we went to Mattress Nation and they delivered the next day! A Saturday! The delivery guys wore masks t in and out of the house in under five minutes. Could not be happier!
