House of Lords to open the Peers' Dining Room to the public again

lords

Updated 15/3/18 with new dates and prices

When it first started, Hot Dinners were among the first to enjoy eating in the House of Lords dining room when it opened to the public. And since then, it's become such a success that it's a regular event (and we've been back again ourselves).

For just a few days during the recess, you can enjoy a weekday lunch at the Peers’ Dining Room. Chefs there have put together a seasonal 3-course menu which will cost a very reasonable £45 per person including coffee and chocolates and £55 for dinner.

Dishes are not at all what you might expect to see on the menu of such a traditional establishment, they're much more Great British Menu if anything. The last menu featured Cornish John Dory with black garlic purée, celeriac, seaweed gel, macaroon, tide broth as well as Lincolnshire parsnip velouté cumin honey-roasted parsnips, Buckinghamshire yoghurt panna cotta and poppadom powder

If you want to book - do it quickly as tables get booked up very quickly. Make sure you accept any offer to have a drink in the bar overlooking the river first - drinks are incredibly cheap and the view's pretty great too.

Where: Peers Dining Room, House of Lords, London SW1A 0PW

When: 10-13 April 2018, weekday lunch only and for dinner on 12 April 2018
