The first Ohio University “90 Minutes Series” event of Spring Semester will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, in Schoonover 145 when Amy Wilson, the storytelling coach at The Cincinnati Enquirer, visits campus.

The veteran journalist played a key role when the newspaper won a Pulitzer Prize in 2018 for its narrative on heroin abuse in Southwest Ohio. During her sit down chat with student moderator Matthew Shiflet, she will share her insights on how people can find ways to put more life into whatever they write. She also will take questions from the audience after her one-on-one interview.

The aim of the “90 Minutes Series” is to create discussions about politics, racism, sexism, and other global topics. The events expose attendees to people who have faced adversity or who have seen discrimination happen to others and stepped forward to address those issues.

“Life on Death Row: One Man’s Perspective” will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, in Schoonover 145. Joe D’Ambrosio was living a straight life when he got accused of a 1988 murder that he didn’t commit. He spent more than 20 years on Death Row before he was exonerated. During the lecture he will share his life and death experience.

The “90 Minutes Series,” now in its third year, is always free, informative and open to the public.
