Fasthosts Launches eShop Builder

Cloud
Fasthosts Internet has announced the release of eShop Builder to its growing professional portfolio.

Following hot on the heels of CloudNX, a web hosting provider, Fasthosts has launched eShop Builder in response to increasing demand for easy-to-use and all-inclusive online business products. eShop Builder allows customers to take their business to the next level using a highly professional online shop solution, designed to take full advantage of a growing global eCommerce boom.

With international eCommerce the fastest growing retail market in Europe and North America, now is the time for businesses to consider their online sales strategy. According to eMarketer, 13% of all UK retail sales in 2014 took place online rather than in-store, and this figure went up to 14.5% in 2015. This year it’s at almost 16%, and by 2019 it’s predicted that almost 20% of retail sales will be digital.

“eCommerce opportunities continue to grow and our customers want to take advantage of what could potentially be an extremely profitable avenue.” confirms Chris Sopp, Product Manager for eShop Builder.

“Merchants can be running a fully managed, highly-scalable and internationally successful shop with minimal expenditure.”

eShop Builder, powered by ePages, incorporates a number of features including integrated shipping and payment options, the ability to sell on global marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay, and up to 15 languages to allow full access to the international market. With inbuilt SEO and social media tools, along with a simple, modular build process and themed templates to choose from, customers can quickly set up and sell globally.

“There are several web apps out there that allow users to sell, however eShop Builder’s professional feature set allows users to set up quickly and easily, without having to worry about coding, maintenance or managing updates which is integrated into the eShop package. Additionally, all of this is managed by Fasthosts 24/7 award-winning support as standard.”

On top of the upwards trend in eCommerce, studies show that 70% of people over 15 in the UK own a mobile device. In 2014 mobile commerce on smartphones and tablets accounted for 27.7% of eCommerce sales, increasing to 33.3% last year. This is predicted to rise to almost 45% by 2019.

“We also understand the increasing growth of mobile eCommerce in particular. eShop Builder is fully optimised for mobile to ensure customer conversion is a simple, clean process, making it accessible and competitive in any location, language or marketplace.”

In addition to direct sales and support, Fasthosts now offers resellers the opportunity to support the eCommerce requirements of their customers.
