The 18th of July 2015 happens to mark the birth anniversary of
Nelson Mandela, who is synonymous with standing up for what one believes in,
and Fuel Media Solutions Pvt. Ltd., one of the notable event managementcompanies in Bangalore, humbly shows appreciation for this one of a kind man by
sharing a few of his thoughts and deeds. For, to be free is not merely to cast
off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom
of others - Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela.
Called by the sweet name Madiba, this man from
South Africa born on 17th of July is remembered in the hearts of
thousands. Madiba was the name of his clan but was more a term of affection and
love.
Being put behind the bars for over 27 years, he
stood up for human rights of the blacks of South Africa who were ill treated by
the government. He launched his words into action soon after he got out of the
shackles of the government by launching abolition of apartheid. He fought hard
and brought in equality in the land of the blacks by becoming the first black
President of South Africa.
This day is recognised to mark his values and
dedication towards the mankind. Till the last second of his life, he fought
hard and stood by his beliefs. What this day calls for is 67 minutes of your
time for the 67 years Mandela worked hard for. Activities like supplying to
schools, cleaning up parks, rebuilding homes are taken up to celebrate the true
spirit of Nelson Mandela. A few activities that could be taken up by the young
could be reading to someone who can’t, feeding stray dogs, help those in need.
These little actions not only restore faith in humanity but bring in a positive
and radical change in the world.
