Bank Holiday Special: 4 Things To Do This Weekend

So here it is; the last bank holiday of the summer. Here's how we're spending it...

Outdoor romcoms

Outdoor cinema

If you fancy doing something low-key this weekend, The Tattersalls Country House in Meath have something special planned. They’re hosting Love On The Lawn, a romantic outdoor cinema event where they’ll be playing romcoms this weekend. On Saturday it’s When Harry Met Sally and Sunday it’s the ever-lovely, Pretty Woman. Tickets are €10 with a free glass of cider and there’s also a pop-up bar to quench your thirst. Burger Republic are just one of the glorious food vendors who will be there at the ready. Sounds pretty swell.

Fiestaval

Temple Bar Fiestaval

This renowned festival returns this weekend to Meeting House Square in Temple Bar. There will be culinary delights, live music and a number of pop-ups and stalls so get yourself down there on Sunday and Monday. There are a number of lovely local restaurants giving samples and treats and it might just be the perfect hangover feast that you need come Monday morning. The event is taking place 12pm-6pm.

Boat Party

Boat party

You can get on board this boat party for €12.50 and organisers promise it will be the party of the year. There’s a long list of DJs playing and a massive barbecue on the top deck. Over 2,000 people are already planning on going. It kicks off on Sunday at 3pm and will be finishing at 10pm, so plenty of time for a night on the town afterwards if you fancy it. You can find all the details right here.

Dun Laoghaire Beat Yard

Dun Laoghaire beatbox

This Dublin party is in its 10th year and has now gone coastal to the seaside town of Dun Laoghaire. The whole place will be swarmed with activities, food pop-ups and live music so if you wanted to hit it up on Saturday or Sunday without a ticket, there’ll still be loads of things going on. The line-up itself is pretty fantastic and it’s happening on the harbour which makes it all the more fun. Get yourself a Teddy’s ice cream or Scrumdiddly’s while you’re out there too.
