If you stay in Rome for longer, go to Frascati. The small town of Frascati is only half an hour away and offers many small taverns and wine cellars where you can enjoy local wine and food. Cin cin! Read more

The Aperol Spritz in the boarding area is a bona fide bargain at 5 Euros and, since they are served without ice (but still cold) more of it than at any bar we drank at in Rome.

If you arrived early or have a long layover go upstairs of the gates and find amazingly comfortable lounging chairs. Despite it being super busy while I was there, upstairs was quiet/practically empty

Love their lounge chairs, really comfortable. Of course, if you can't find a free one, you can always use your carry on :) comfortable as well.

Nice airport with many facilities. If arrived after midnight Taxis is only transportation choice. Prices is fixed but taxi drivers never obey those prices so make sure to know exactly the price.

Airport has been remodeled and is looking great. A LOT of shopping from high end to smaller boutiques. It's also way bigger now and you will be walking much further to get to your gate.

Wi-Fi is extremely good, free, relatively quick data transfer and strong signal with wide coverage. Wifi is on even on board of the aircraft if one travels on C class...

Airport has been renewed. Still missing signs from Car rental area to the terminal, but well organized Airport. Make sure to take advantage of the VIP Lounge in case you have a premium Credit Card.

Should you find yourself here in transit, or with time left after your shopping, do one of the wine/Prosecco bars and enjoy lunch. Both the fish and meat selection are delicious!

If you have a leg in Rome, go upstairs. In the very back is a lounge open to all travelers. It has besides a bar and a buffet also a shower. Against a small fee you get access + can use the WiFi.

Depending on what part of the airport you're at and/or where you're going/location of your gate, this place can be stressful or possibly quite calm. Try to be chill and your experience might be too.

Easy going airport with fast security clearance but passport control for departures at E gates takes longer. Multiple luxury stores in the duty free area. Also, they have smoking areas.

We liked the airport. It's huge, but comfortable. There are a lot of pointers, but everything is clear. It is impossible to get lost. The airport employees work professionally.

For something different from pasta, panini or pizza, try the fresh salad bar right after security at T1, the mozzarella bar near the D gates, or the sushi bar after immigration T3 transit

Great shopping airport (of course being Italy). You can find pretty much any brand there. It’s not very big and easy to navigate around. Customs can be very long though even for EU citizens.

Taxis are about €45 to the city center. Trenitalia has a new route that runs every 15 min from FCO there for €15 each way. Only a 30 min ride. 👍🏼🚝

Go with the Boingo Hotspot free wifi. If you need to charge mobile device and don't gave the adapter, don't buy one at the airport, too expensive. The free charge outlets here gave USB ports.
