Popular Sunrise weather presenter and co-host of Dancing With The Stars, Edwina Bartholomew, affectionately known as 'Eddie', will deliver a series of live crosses from the CSIRO Parkes Radio Telescope 'The Dish' tomorrow morning.

And local residents are being urged to go out and say g’day.
Parkes Shire Council's Tourism and Marketing Manager, Katrina Dwyer is thrilled with the exposure it will provide.
“The media spotlight will be on Parkes and The Dish during the Prime 7 national broadcast from 6am with millions of viewers tuning in each morning to the Sunrise program from around Australia,” she said.
The visit forms part of the 'Lap of the Map' tour which is a partnership campaign with the Caravan and Camping Industry of Australia and aims to promote caravanning and camping to a national audience, showcasing caravan holiday parks and attractions around Australia.
The broadcast comes at an exciting time for the CSIRO Parkes Radio Telescope with the recent announcement that The Dish will play a major role in the search for extraterrestrial intelligence with 25% of the Dish's time to be spent on the search over the next five years.
“Eddie will meet CSIRO astronomers and a get a first hand look at the telescope's control room and scientific capabilities while also experiencing the Visitor's Discovery Centre which is home to some fascinating hands on exhibits.” Ms Dwyer said.
“We are encouraging members of the local community to come to The Dish and be part of the atmosphere and showcase our community spirit during the live crosses.
“Head out to The Dish from 7am and don’t forget to bring along colourful posters that show what you love about Parkes.
“While you are there why not enjoy breakfast or a coffee from the award winning Dish Café,” she said.
