Road Work to Close Portions of Faculty Road in August

What is the schedule for road closures for August?

Sections of Faculty Road will be closed throughout August for roadway, curb and crosswalk improvements, Princeton Police said on Tuesday.

The closures will be as follows:

• August 3 to August 8, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Faculty Road will be closed between Broadmead Street and Harrison Street.

• August 10 to August 15, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Faculty Road will be closed between Fitzrandolph Road and Broadmead Street.

• August 17 to August 22, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Faculty Road will be closed between Fitzrandolph Road and Broadmead Street.

There will be no vehicular, bicycle or pedestrian access through the section under construction for the duration of the closure. However, all sidewalks along Faculty Road will remain open during the construction.

Residents on Faculty Road between Broadmead Street and Harrison Street will be able to access their homes via Harrison Street or Broadmead Street during next week’s closure.

Residents of Lake Lane and the Dean Mathey Apartments will continue to have access to their homes throughout the duration of the project.

Detour signs will be posted for walking, cycling and/or driving through the area.
