Test requests workflow - ability to complete selected tasks. Understand you can batch complete requests in a certain time period, but some patients within that batch may not of generally had the blood tests.

For EMIS to flag Lab results with NA or N/A or other non numerical text with ! to encourage GP to read the result and the accompanying text.

At the moment, for non-numerical results, EMIS presents these as a 'normal' result, so there is a risk these will be missed unless every result is opened and read.

Task option for 2wk referrals , trigger to be linked to any 2wk referral code, that sends a task to automatically to 2wk referral admin, which then appears as an urgent task for staff

All suggestions within the poll are insignificant, none of the key issues are recognised. We have been asking for such a long time for better fuctionaliy to restrict patient records. PCS had a super function whereby we could restrict a specific member of staff from accessing a single patient record, this is significant in small communities where family members may be patients. Why are the higher priority items, that have been achieved in the past so certainly not impossible, being ignored? Also, support evolution of document workflow as aforementioned.

Better ability to tidy up problems list!

Being able to create task types would be very useful (mentioned above).

I would love to be able to specify recipient(s) of a task within a protocol automatically.

Improvements in document management are a priority, being forced to use Docman is stupid. Does EMIS really make 25% profit on a £100m turnover? If so, then basic improvements should be offered

  • Royce Chan - 6 years ago

I would also a function in the medication section to automatically amend all medications to one month or 2 months without having to calculate it manually

  • Royce Chan - 6 years ago

I would like to have more triggers for protocols

like when a patient has arrived / A'ed

  • Sue williams - 6 years ago

I would like to be able to change font colour in consultations, this would highlight to gp or nurse important issues

  • Caroline Acuda - 6 years ago

I agree with Steve Cardwell. Being able to create our own task types would be fantastic.

Creating our own task types would be great

All the mentioned above are stupidity. There are much bigger things, as mentioned above document management freeing us from the dreaded Docman

  • Martin Sutcliffe - 6 years ago

All of these are things I would, frankly, expect to take for granted in most software - even free/open source type software. It is ridiculous that EMIS are asking us to choose between these features many of which should simply be core features of any half-decent GUI. Just knuckle down and do them all!

Whilst your at it - can we talk about interoperability please. Rather can we stop talking and get on with doing.

  • Richard Miller - 6 years ago

    None of the above.

Facility to search for a text string in EMIS email module in any folder including deleted & sent.

  • Ali Ashcroft-Spurr - 6 years ago

I agree with the previous comments. Workflow documents (which allow documents to flow more than one way, for a start) and resource publisher should be a higher priority than anything I just voted for.

Judging by the list, the audience must've been asked for "quick win" developments, so perhaps that's why neither of these improvements were mentioned.

I would agree with Julie Edwards. Please focus on development of a document management module, removing the need for Docman and creating one fully integrated system for all.

Additionally please resolve the terrible slowness and technical issues relating to Resource Publisher as a priority.

    Thank you.

I would prefer emis to develop document manager as this has been promised since I started using Emisweb in 2011. I have been part of various development around document manager and V2 was switched on in our practice I think last December but I had it switched off within an hour as it was so flawed.
