Drako Motors comes out of stealth

Austin-based Drako Motors Inc., which was founded in 2013, has launched a software platform called DriveOS and emerged from stealth mode. Serial entrepreneur Dean Drako’s new company creates software designed to improve the performance of electric vehicles. HUVRData gets $2M

Austin-based HUVRData, a company which is using aerial drones to collect data and analytics for business, said it has raised $2M in a funding round. Beyonce launches tattoo line

Is this really Austin news? It is, since the temporary tattoo company is based in Austin. UberLUX comes to Austin

If you've got a taste for fancy cars, Uber's new option is for you. Uber in Austin has debuted their UberLUX option, allowing users to request a ride in a luxury BMW, Mercedes Benz or Audi. The base fare for an UberLUX ride is $5, with a charge of $0.50 per minute and $3.75 per mile — more than double the cost of UberX. 90 Austin companies make U.S. 'fastest growing' list

Inc released their annual ranking of the 5000 fastest-growing private companies in America this week and 90 companies made the list. Noonday Collection, the jewelry and accessories company, was listed as Austin’s fastest growing company, and the 45th fastest growing company nationally. The company boasts an 5,512 percent growth rate over the last three years, with last year’s revenue above $11.8 million. In that time period the company has grown from just 4 employees to employ 44.
