Memories of the Silver Screen

Did you know that Luton Hoo Hotel has a “secret” career as a Hollywood movie star?

Visitors to The Adam’s Brasserie at the hotel can view the movie stills framed along its walls, highlighting the hotel’s glamorous silver screen credits. Here are just some of them…

Vanity Fair (2004)
This hit film, starring Reese Witherspoon, made use of several settings around the mansion and estate, including the now Wernher Restaurant and Pillared Hall.

Eyes Wide Shut (1999)
The final film from Stanley Kubrick, starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, used Luton Hoo as the backdrop for the ‘Manhattan’ Christmas party.

James Bond – Never Say Never Again & The World Is Not Enough (1983 & 1999)
Two Bond movies used the mansion and grounds for a variety of scenes including a bespoke 007 helipad and a car explosion (before the building opened as a hotel, may we add!).

Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994)
The British romantic comedy classic used Luton Hoo as the venue for the 2nd wedding reception.

The Adam’s Brasserie is open for lunch and dinner Monday to Saturday and for lunch on Sundays.
