Fantasy golf cheat sheet: Who will win the PGA Championship?
With the final major of the year, the PGA Championship, being played this week at Whistling Straits in Sheboygan, Wis., a plethora of players have a chance to win the Wanamaker Trophy.
Handicapping the field has become a hot topic and potentially lucrative. Fantasy golf site DraftKings.com's PGA Championship contest offers a $1 million prize for first place. It costs $20 to enter and $3.3 million in prizes will be awarded overall.
Who has the best chance of grabbing glory? Here are 10 names that might do the trick:
Jordan Spieth
The 22-year-old is piecing together one of the best seasons in golf history, and has proven himself adept at handling multiple course layouts in various conditions.
Dustin Johnson
Despite his agonizingly close call at the U.S. Open and a weekend collapse at the British, Johnson is one of the top players in golf. He finished one shot out of a playoff the last time the PGA was held at Whistling Straits after a high-profile rules controversy.
Bubba Watson
The two-time Masters champion lost in a playoff to Martin Kaymer during the 2010 PGA Championship at Whistling Straits, and has the kind of unrestrained power that can bring any course to its knees.
Jason Day
Day already has nine top 10 major finishes in his young career -- including two in his last two major starts -- and has two wins this season. It’s only a matter of time before he takes that next step.
Justin Rose
