Coláiste Lurgan and their incredibly talented students are famous in their own right, but two of their most well-known alums returned this summer to help them put together this colorful, upbeat version of Coldplay’s “Hymn for the Weekend.”

Ellie and Louise from the popular Irish band "The Heathers" are old-school Lurgan students and attended the Gaeltacht summer camp back in the noughties when it was already making music, but before it was flung into the limelight by the likes of their Avicii cover.

Understandably, what with the craic that must be had every year, the band was happy to return for Cúrsa A (Course A) this year and lend their talents to yet another top-quality Irish-language version of one of the summer’s hit songs.

Published to coincide with the release of tickets for Coldplay's Dublin gig, this particular video is just one of 40 various songs and information segments that will appear on new TG4 [Irish-language TV channel] show “Lurgan Beo” this Halloween. Starting from October 31, the program will show off some of the best bits from the Lurgan summer courses and we can’t wait!
