Save the Dates: The City Upstream and Down

October 28 - 30, 2015
How integrated management can help cities sustainably manage water resources
Wingspread Conference Center, Racine, WI

American Rivers, the Mayors Innovation Project, the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative, and the Johnson Foundation at Wingspread, are hosting an exclusive convening entitled The City Upstream and Down: How integrated water resources management can help cities manage water resources sustainably. Attendees will be joining a select group of mayors and a small but professionally diverse group of experts to discuss ways to implement integrated water resources management in and between cities. Water systems like rivers and the Great Lakes and the services they provide are essential to a healthy city - we rely on them to provide drinking water at the same time we dispose of our stormwater and wastewater into them. By managing water resources in an integrated fashion, cities can achieve economic benefits, community development and climate change adaptation while addressing key environmental issues.
