Thanksgiving Holiday Reminders
In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 22, Village Hall will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 23. Thursday and Friday garbage and recycling collection will be delayed by one day, with Thursday collection taking place on Friday and Friday collection on Saturday.

Light the Lights is this Friday, November 23!
To kick-off the celebration of Glencoe's 150th birthday in 2019, the Village, Glencoe Historical Society and the Glencoe Chamber of Commerce have partnered to make the annual Light the Lights event bigger and better than ever before, thanks in large part to our event sponsor - BMO Harris Bank!
Get in the holiday spirit this Friday, November 23 from 4-7 p.m., in downtown Glencoe with a lighting ceremony, a “Wine and Beer Stroll” (made possible by Joseph Mullarkey Distributors and OneHope Wines), caroling, photos with Santa, live reindeer, shopping specials, trackless train rides through our beautiful downtown and more.

Glencoe Community Holiday Drive Collection Begins
Help brighten the holidays for a local family or individual in need through the Glencoe Community Holiday Drive. Don't forget to bring one box/can of a non-perishable food item to Light the Lights on Friday, November 23 as your "train fare" for the free trackless train rides through beautiful downtown Glencoe.

Fall Leaf Collection Update
The Village's fall leaf collection program, conducted by Lakeshore Recycling Systems (LRS), is currently underway and will continue through the end of November. Crews will be working to collect leaves both Friday, November 23 and Saturday, November 24 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Glencoe's leaves are taken to the Chicago Botanic Garden, which mulches the material on-site and uses it to fertilize planting beds. Please remember that leaves should remain on your lawn and not on the curb. Learn more »
