Shawn Mendes's New Video for "Stitches" Is Here, and It Might Just Break Your Heart

Two words: On repeat.

Shawn Mendes sure has come a long way since the days of posting six-second clips to Vine. The 16-year-old's new music video for "Stitches" has finally arrived and the impressive narrative is complete with a bloodied and bruised Shawn taking quite a few hits (literally!) to both his heart and to his face.

If you've been living under a rock, let us catch you up: The chart-topper has risen to superstardom after signing with a major label last summer and releasing his hit album, Handwritten. Since then, he's amassed a seriously impressive following and tons of celeb fans, including Taylor Swift, who then invited him to join her on the 1989 tour as an opening act. Yep, it's been a good year for this guy, and by the looks of this music video, things are only going to get better.

Clad in a leather jacket, the Canadian cutie enters an ominous-looking parking garage in the vid's opening sequence, where he unexpectedly receives countless invisible jabs to his face as he sings about surviving a broken heart. And trust us—yours might just break in the process of watching, too.
