Friday The 13th: The Game Gets Single Player Mode And Tommy Jarvis!

The most requested addition to Friday The 13th: The Game is now becoming a reality as Gun Media announced today that they will be adding a single player mode to the game! That's the biggest news, but not the end of the good news for fans. Gun also announced that not only are the adding single player mode, but they are also adding a third playable map of Packanack Lodge from Friday The 13th Part 2 and the character Tommy Jarvis will become a playable character!

It is all a lot to take in, but in order to add these major additions, the release of the game will be delayed a few months and be made available in a few waves. To start, the closed Beta will be made available to those who backed the game in Kickstarter and the Slasher Backer in late 2016. As a thank you for those who pre-ordered, four keys will be given out per pre-order! In Spring 2017, the initial release of the game will include the multi-player option that the game was originally built for as well as the playable Tommy Jarvis character and the Packanack Lodge map.

The third wave of the release, and full release of the game, will happen in Summer 2017 and include the coveted single player mode complete with AI bots. Everyone who pre-orders the game will receive the single player mode free of charge!

Our readers have been extremely patient with the release of the new film and we know waiting a few extra months for the game will not be a big deal at all as the fans are getting everything they ever asked for now with Friday The 13th: The Game. We are so excited with this announcement and look forward to experiencing the Beta soon and look forward to the initial release of the game in the spring.

What do you think of the announcement? Is there anything else Gun Media can do at this point to get the fans excited?
