NBA Summer League Update

PULLMAN, Wash. – Three former Washington State men's basketball student-athletes are competing in 2015 NBA Summer Leagues, as DaVonté Lacy is playing with the Indiana Pacers in the Orlando Summer League and Jordan Railey and Brock Motum are both playing in the Utah Summer League; Railey with the Philadelphia 76ers and Motum with the Utah Jazz.

The Southwest Airlines Orlando Pro Summer League started Saturday, July 4, as Lacy's Pacers have two games under their belts. The Pacers are currently 0-2 with losses to the Miami Heat (92-76), July 4, and the Orlando White Squad (85-76), July 6. Lacy has played in one game, compiling 2 assists and a rebound in 2 minutes of action. The Pacers play again Wednesday, July 8 at noon PT against Detroit, before finishing their summer league action against the Orlando Blue squad, Thursday, July 9 at 10 a.m. ET.

Railey's Sixers team fell 74-71 to the San Antonio Spurs in their opening game of the 2015 Utah Jazz Summer League, July 6 and next face the Boston Celtics Tuesday, July 7 at 4 p.m. PT in the first of five remaining games. In the loss to the Spurs, Railey had 3 points and a rebound in five-and-a-half minutes of action. The Sixers conclude Summer League play, July 14.

For the third-straight year, Motum is playing in the NBA Summer League and for the second-straight year, he's playing with the Utah Jazz. The Jazz are hosting the 2015 Utah Jazz Summer League and won their opening game, 100-82 over the Celtics, Monday, July 6. Motum played 23 minutes for the Jazz, scoring 4 points while adding 8 rebounds and 3 assists. The Jazz take on the Spurs, Tuesday, July 7 at 6 p.m. PT in the first of five remaining games. They wrap up action on July 14.

Lacy graduated from Washington State in May of 2015 following a four-year career where he became the school's all-time career 3-point leader, bettering Klay Thompson's record set in 2011. Lacy finished his career with 249 career 3-pointers made. A first team All-Pac-12 honoree in 2014-15 and honorable mention selection in 2013-14, Lacy finished his career with 1,548 career points, fifth-best on WSU's career scoring list. He started 106 of the 116 games he played in over his career and was the only Cougar to start all 31 games in 2014-15.

Railey graduated from Washington State in May of 2015 following a two-year career as a Cougar after transferring from Iowa State. In two seasons, the 7-foot center moved into 16th on WSU's career list for blocks with 62. He started 47 of the 62 games he appeared in, averaging 4.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game.

Motum ranks sixth in WSU's career record books with 1,530 points scored in four seasons (2010-13). He led the Cougars and the Pac-12 in scoring two-straight seasons with 18.0 points per game in 2011-12 and 18.7 ppg in 2012-13. At the conclusion of the 2012 season, he was named the league's most improved player while earning first team all-conference honors. He was named All-Pac-12 Second Team in 2013.
