Blended Program Features Online and Ground Classes at its Phoenix Campus
PHOENIX (April 28, 2020) – Pima Medical Institute has officially launched a medical billing and coding certificate program at its Phoenix campus. This blended program is enrolling now for a July 8 start and features both online and ground classes at the Phoenix campus.
Medical Billing and Coding professionals are the link between healthcare providers, patients and the insurance companies. They are responsible for providing complete and accurate information and records for the patients and the insurance companies. Medical and insurance offices depend heavily on Medical Coding Specialists.
The Bureau of Labor statistics projects more than 27,000 new jobs for those in the medical records field by 2026, making it a great time to start on a rewarding career path. This certificate program is launching as an evening class offering. This creates a great opportunity for students who might be looking to change careers, or those who cannot take days off work to attend classes.
“We take great pride in understanding and accommodating our student population here at the Phoenix campus,” said Stacey Nottingham, Phoenix Campus Director. “We recognize that many of our students interested in this program have lives that don’t necessarily accommodate for the typical college schedule. We do plan to offer morning and afternoon classes in the future.”
Graduates of this program receive a certificate. For those interested in pursuing additional education, graduates can use these classes to apply for credit toward Pima Medical Institute’s online Health Care Administration Associate of Applied Science Degree Program.
Additional Pima Medical programs offered at the Phoenix campus include; Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Surgical Technology and Veterinary Technician associate degree programs as well as Dental Assistant, Medical Administrative Assistant, Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy Technician, Sterile Processing Technician and Veterinary Assistant certificate programs.
