New Arcade-Themed Bar Opens in Metuchen Friday

If you've ever been to Barcade in Jersey City, it's a similar concept: Beer, pub food along with classic games such as Pac Man and pinball.

Metuchen, NJ - Do you like beer? Do you like Pac Man? Then how about combining the two? A new arcade-themed bar will open up this Friday in downtown Metuchen.

The new bar is called HARP-Cade and it's owned by Hailey’s Harp & Pub owners, Chris Flynn and Mo Atzbi. Hailey's Harp & Pub is a popular Metuchen drink spot and eatery located right in the middle of downtown. HARP-Cade is located behind Hailey's Harp & Pup, at 15 Station Place, and you can enter it either via its own entrance or through Harp's. It has its own bar, but the food is from the combined kitchen. Both are only a few blocks away from the bustling Metuchen train station.

If you ever been to Barcade in Jersey City (or the original in Brooklyn), it's a similar concept: Beer, pub food along with classic arcade games such as Pac Man, pinball, video games and action games. HARP-Cade had a soft opening on Sept. 7, but this Friday will be its big, grand opening. There will be lots of family events Friday afternoon and evening, Chris and Mo say.
