You Don't Have to Be a Movie Star to Love Julia Roberts's NYC Penthouse

Many New Yorkers would cling to a three-bedroom, three-bath penthouse with a terrace, but not Julia Roberts. The actress has listed her apartment in Greenwich Village, which she's owned for nearly five years, for $4.5 million. Real-estate agency Stribling & Associates has the listing.

The sales photos prominently feature two of the apartment's most stunning assets, the massive living room and 50-foot-long terrace. In addition to having a dining nook and a galley kitchen outfitted with top-of-the-line appliances, the home also features a den perfect for curling up to watch movies like Pretty Woman, Eat Pray Love, or Erin Brockovich. The cozy factor is upped even higher thanks to the apartment's wood-burning fireplace and the fact that the co-op building allows pets. Julia stands to make a tidy profit on the home after spending $3.895 million back in 2010.

This is the second stunning property Julia has listed this year. In April, Julia put her estate in Hawaii on the market for nearly $30 million. She still, however, has plenty of luxe lodging options thanks to her other homes, a family spread in Malibu, CA, and a retreat in Taos, NM.

The den looks out onto the apartment's 50-foot-long terrace.
