Ice cream lovers: Rejoice.

National Ice Cream Day is Sunday, July 19, and what could be a better way to celebrate than to grab scoop of the delicious frozen treat?

A host of shops around the country plan to have deals, including free scoops, new flavors and many more options to celebrate ice cream’s biggest day.

Carvel

The company, known as “American’s Freshest Ice Cream,” will offer a two-for-one sale on any size of soft-serve ice cream for the whole day. In a release, Carvel President Scott Colwell encouraged customers to try the company’s new Reese’s Peanut Butter flavor. The flavor will hit stores for the first time Sunday and run through Sept. 21.

Cold Stone Creamery

Members of the company’s My Cold Stone Club, which offers rewards to frequent customers, can also take advantage of a two-for-one deal Sunday. The creamery will offer the deal for all Cold Stone “creations” – including ice cream, shakes, smoothies and frappes.

Friendly’s

The restaurant will offer another two-for-one deal Saturday and Sunday. Customers can buy a $1.99 single scoop, and get a second one free. The weekend-long celebration honors both National Ice Cream Day, and the company’s 80th birthday.

Dippin’ Dots

The “Ice Cream of the Future” will offer a free sample of a zany new flavor Sunday: Redberry Sorbet made with Sour Patch Kids.

Baskin Robbins

The company, known for its original 31 flavors, chose to celebrate all of July for National Ice Cream Month. Patrons can get a free upgrade to a waffle cone for double-scoop ice cream cones. Additionally, they will offer 31% off all ice cream sundaes on July 31 in honor of its 70th birthday.
