There aren’t many people who love The X-Files more than Kumail Nanjiani. The Silicon Valley star has long been a trusted X-Files expert, and he even hosts a podcast dedicated to discussing and analyzing individual episodes. (It’s called The X-Files Files, and he’s interviewed everyone from Dan Harmon to the show’s writers and composer.) And over the weekend, Nanjiani tweeted that his dreams were finally coming true: He’s going to be an in episode of the revived series.

Nanjiani shared a few pictures from the set — including a few with David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson — and he confirmed that he’ll be appearing in an episode written and directed by his “favorite writer” Darin Morgan. Interestingly, Nanjiani is wearing an animal control officer jacket in the pictures, and sure, there’s almost no chance that he’s connected to one of the series’ most notorious villains, liver-eating animal control officer Eugene Tooms, but hey, we can dream.

He also added that while on set, he recorded Duchovny and Anderson reminiscing about their time on the show, and he hopes to share it on his podcast soon.

Also joining the revival? Rhys Darby from Flight of the Conchords, who geeked out with Nanjiani on Twitter, writing, “Being on this show left us both a bit giddy.”

The X-Files is set to return Jan. 24, 2016.
